AFTER BLACKMAILING, FORD ANNOUNCES CLOSURE OF FACTORIES IN BRASIL 6p6128

Bureaucratic Capitalism: the Nation on its knees to the dictates and whims of a multinational 2i6443

The Yankee car maker, Ford, announced on January 11th, the closure of  all unities for making vehicles in Brasil. With this measure, Ford, that has factories in Bahia, São Paulo and Ceará, will dismiss more than 22 thousand workers. 5m696p

Employees of the company protested against the closure of the factory one day after the announcement in Camaçari, Bahia and in Taubaté, São Paulo.

In Camaçari, the workers arrived at 5:30am to start their work turn and the factory gates were closed. The workers held an assembly and went to the town-hall to protest. According to the president of the Steelworkers Union in Camaçari, Júlio Bonfim, up to the present moment, the employees were not summoned to settle the scores, let alone close contracts, a fact  that, acccording to him, leave them helpless..

Bonfim told the union portal that the decision on the closure of the activities in Brasil was informed by the Ford chairman in South America, Lyle Watters. According to the tycoon, the decision was taken because of the economic  instability of the country.

Bonfim also informed that Lyle affirmed that the question of the Coronavirus was determinant for the decision. His speech is in agreement with the note the assembler company sent to the press to justify the closing and that years of loss had resulted quite significant.: “As long as the pandemic of Covid-19 enlarges the idle capacity of the industry and the reduction of sales”.

In Taubaté, a protest gathered around 500 workers against the closure of the plant. An assembly defined the begin of a watch at the enterprise’s gates aiming to prevent the entry and exit of the materials.

Crisis of the bureaucratic capitalism

The departure of the imperialist multinational Ford of the country is a result of the deep crisis that befalls the country which suffers still the impact of the crisis of overproduction, of the imperialism. The  criminal growing desindustrialization in the country proceeds with Ford’s question

The closure of the enterprise is due to the low car consumption, both in Brasil and  the region, a drop given the crisis of the bureaucratic capitalism in those countries, unemployment and drop in the income of the mass of of workers;

Data of the Economy Ministry points out that the tax incentives for the car makers reached R$ 43,7 billion between 2010 and 2020 ( encoming the governments of Lula, Dilma, Temer and the present one, in a true deliver of taxes for enrichnent of those foreign monopolies).

Enterprises like Ford have always looked for countries where they can have the maximum profit, that is, to spend the minimum possible and obtain a great pecuniary advantage. For that, they explore the soil, mineral resources and cheap labour-force of the dominated nations.

To attract such companies, the semi-colonial countries’ governents try to dry up their labour legislation, removing workers’ rights, lowering taxes of the enterprises and delivering the nation’s wealth into the hands of the monopolies.

The greed of the Ford automaker is so big that even fascist Bolsonaro ( an ardent defender of the privileges for the multinationals) has complained that Ford has done it for aiming at more subsidies. In turn, the First Chamber ex-chairman, Rodrigo Maia, took advantage of the situation to defend the “Tax Reform”, dictated by imperialism (World Bank) that wants to facilitate still more the exploration of the national market by the imperialist corporations.

All rulers of the different parties that have already been in the government have never had the real intention do develop the national industry, technology and science.. On the opposite, it has always been preferable to deliver on a tray all our raw-materials at a paltry price and afterwards import the final products using technologies at an exorbitant price by the imperialist countries, imposing a situation of national submission to the dictates and whims of the foreign monopolies.

Thus, the semi-feudality and latifundio are strengthened and they sell their commodities ( together with the big bourgeoisie) for those imperialist companies. On the other side, are the largest majority of the people: workers, peasants, petty and small bourgeoisie, through the systematic low of the workers’ wages; breakdown of small and medium-sized enterprises and continuous theft of the State finances by the monopolies that do and undo, blackmail and impose conditions to remain in the country and “maintain the jobs”.
